Hops Growing Tall @ Eden Hall!

Hops Growing Tall @ Eden Hall!

In June, eleven plants of Humulus lupulus or hops were planted on the east side fence at the Eden Hall Organic Student Garden. In mid-June, four foot holes were dug and 20 foot cedar poles were placed into the ground. Currently, the hops are growing strong and will be strung up on twine soon that we will hang from cable connected between the poles. We have Cascade, Chinook, Nugget, and Magnum and the female flowering cones are looking pretty nice! Feel free to come check them out! Happy hopping. 🙂
